Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 13, 2026  |  Last updated: April 13, 2026

The short version MileTrack is designed to be private by default. Your location and trip data never leave your device. We collect only anonymous, non-identifiable usage analytics and crash reports to improve the app — never your personal information, location, or trip data.

1. Overview

MileTrack ("we", "our", or "the app") is a mileage tracking application for mobile devices. This Privacy Policy describes our practices — and our fundamental commitment is straightforward: your location and trip data never leave your device.

All trip data, location history, and mileage records are stored exclusively on your device using local storage. We do collect anonymous, non-identifiable analytics and crash reports to help us improve the app, but this data cannot be linked back to you in any way.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

MileTrack does not collect, receive, or have access to any of the following:

3. Anonymous Analytics and Crash Reports

To improve app stability and performance, MileTrack collects anonymous, non-identifiable diagnostic data including:

This data contains no personally identifiable information, no location data, no trip content, and cannot be linked back to you as an individual. It is used solely for debugging and product improvement.

4. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

To provide its core functionality, MileTrack stores the following data only on your device:

This data is accessible only to you and to the app itself. It is never transmitted to MileTrack or any third party.

5. Location Access

MileTrack requests access to your device's location services to enable automatic trip detection and manual trip logging. Location access is used solely to calculate trip distance and route within the app.

6. No Account Required

MileTrack is account-free. You do not need to create an account, provide an email address, or sign in with a third-party service to use any feature of the app. Because there are no accounts, there are no credentials to protect and no profile data to store.

7. Purchases and Payments

MileTrack is free to download and use. Optional pro features (such as expanded trip tracking limits) are available through a one-time in-app purchase — there are no recurring subscriptions.

All purchases are processed directly through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. MileTrack never sees, handles, or stores your payment information. Any payment data is governed exclusively by Apple's or Google's privacy policies.

8. Data Export

MileTrack allows you to export your trip data as a CSV file directly to your device. This export is performed entirely locally. Exported files go wherever you direct them (e.g., Files app, email, cloud storage) — that transfer is entirely under your control and outside the scope of this policy.

9. Third-Party Services

MileTrack uses third-party SDKs solely for anonymous analytics and crash reporting (see Section 3). These services receive only non-identifiable diagnostic data. The app does not integrate advertising networks, social media buttons, or third-party authentication providers.

10. Children's Privacy

MileTrack does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). Because the app collects no personal data from any user, it presents no special risk to younger users; however, the app is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children.

11. Data Security

Because all data stays on your device, the security of your trip information is governed by your device's own security features (screen lock, encryption, etc.). We encourage you to keep your device software up to date and to use device-level encryption where available.

If you lose your device or delete the app, your locally stored data may be unrecoverable. We recommend using your device's built-in backup solution if you want to preserve your trip history.

12. Data Deletion

You can delete individual trips or all trip data at any time within the app. Uninstalling MileTrack will remove all locally stored app data from your device. Because we hold no copies of your data on external servers, no further deletion request is necessary.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of MileTrack after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
